Se usó como base textual para el Antiguo Testamento el texto masorético (y ocasionalmente otros manuscritos en hebreo y arameo cuando, a juicio de los expertos, el texto masorético no pueda ser entendido con claridad).
Para el Nuevo Testamento se emplearon como fuente varias ediciones críticas en griego.
